How to Draw: Roger

This week we will be learning how to draw a student-submitted monster, ROGER! Roger has lots of hair. Roger likes to roll like a ball, really fast! But he walks very slowly.  Thanks Ryan C. of Texas for this fun monster!

So, now to learn to draw Roger in 10 steps.

If you can draw these shapes,

Then you will be able to draw Roger!

Here we go:

Step 1: Draw two circles to start Roger's eye.

Step 2: Draw a small circle inside the other for his pupil.

Step 3: Draw his mouth. Make a happy curve and a small triangle for his tooth.

Step 4: Draw a circle around his face for his body.

Step 5: Draw straight scribbles all around the outside of the circle. Just move your pencil back and forth to make it look like hair.

Step 6: Draw four straight lines for Roger's legs.

Step 7: Using a semi-circle and a straight line, draw the shoes.

Step 8: Draw the ears.

Step 9: Draw in the extras. Create smaller parts of the ear. Also add in stick arms with three small fingers.

Step 10: Color!

I can't wait to see some of the fun monsters you create with Roger! Change the color of his hair or the shape of his ears to make Roger your own!
